Mid-size solar-electric catamaran in the Silent range, positioned between the Silent 60 and Silent 80. Marketed for self-sufficient bluewater cruising powered primarily by rooftop solar. Detailed battery/motor specs not independently confirmed in this research pass — treat as directionally similar to the Silent 60 (twin ~200kW motors, ~225kWh battery) until sourced directly from Silent Yachts.

What a buyer should know

A stretched 60, but the numbers are missing

The Silent 62 sits between the Silent 60 and the 80 Tri-Deck, and the builder's own material presents it as a development of the 60 with a longer hull and an additional deck level in place of a conventional flybridge. At 18.9 m and eight berths in our record, it is only marginally longer than the 60 — the real gain is volume and the sky-lounge space above, not waterline length or cruising ability. That makes it the choice for a buyer who liked the 60 but wants more living area, particularly for entertaining or a permanently aboard family.

Why you cannot yet compare it properly

This is the weakest-documented model in the Silent line here. We hold no battery capacity, no motor output, no top speed and no price. The existing description suggests treating it as directionally similar to the 60, and that is a reasonable working assumption — but it is an assumption, not data, and a third deck adds weight and windage that a like-for-like drivetrain would have to carry.

Until Silent Yachts supplies a current specification sheet, no honest comparison against the Silent 60, the 80, or Soel's Senses 62 is possible. Ask for pack size, motor output, cruising speed and the resulting range before shortlisting it.

Written from the builder’s published specifications and the wider market, not from testing the boat ourselves. Always confirm figures with the manufacturer before committing.
