What a buyer should know
Who it is for
This is not a boat a private owner buys. The CAT 10 L is transport infrastructure: a 30-seat electric shuttle aimed at municipalities, marina and resort operators, harbour ferries and tourism businesses running fixed short routes. If you want a boat to take the family out for the weekend, look elsewhere entirely — everything about the specification, from the aluminium cabin to the app-based ride hailing, points at a fleet operator with a route and a timetable.
What the numbers imply
The base package is deliberately modest. Forty kilowatts against 6,000 kg gives 9 knots, which is a harbour speed, not a crossing speed. The 60 kWh pack is the figure to think hardest about: at continuous full output it would be exhausted in roughly an hour and a half, so any realistic duty cycle depends on running well below rated power and on opportunity charging between runs. Callboats publishes battery options up to several times this capacity for exactly that reason, and an operator sizing a service should treat the 60 kWh entry configuration as suited to short, frequent hops with a charger at one end.
Caveats
The autonomy and remote-docking features are the headline, but they carry regulatory questions that vary by country and are the operator's problem to resolve, not the yard's.
