The ZERO 6.3 is a 6.3-metre open day boat, one of two models in Bella Boats' purpose-built electric ZERO line rather than an electric option fitted to an existing petrol hull. The layout is a walk-around open boat for up to eight people, with a bathing platform and sunbed aft, driven by a 33 kW motor on a 25.9 kWh battery for a quoted top speed of 11 knots. Bella states a full charge takes around ten hours, which implies domestic-socket charging rather than dedicated marina infrastructure.

What a buyer should know

Who it suits

This is a lake and sheltered-coastal family boat for owners who want an electric hull that was designed as one. The 25.9 kWh pack in a 1,250 kg hull is sized for unhurried displacement-speed cruising across an afternoon, not for sustained running near the 11-knot ceiling — treat the top speed as a repositioning figure, not a cruising one. If your boating involves long transits, watersports, or exposed water, the ZERO 6.3 is the wrong tool; if it involves a slow circuit of a lake with eight people aboard and a swim stop, it is well matched.

Caveats worth weighing

The ten-hour charge is the practical constraint. It works if the boat sits on a berth with power overnight; it does not work for back-to-back day hire or for a mooring without a socket. Bella's use of standard driveline components is a genuine advantage for parts availability and servicing, which is not a given among small electric-boat builders.

The broader point for a buyer is that Bella's business is overwhelmingly petrol boats. ZERO is a distinct line, not a token — but the dealer and service network you meet will be one built around combustion, and it is fair to ask how deep the electric expertise runs at your local dealer before signing.

Written from the builder’s published specifications and the wider market, not from testing the boat ourselves. Always confirm figures with the manufacturer before committing.
